Enjoy three stages of entertainment, sample food from more than 30 vendors, and view art from hundreds of local and regional artists at Custer Fair this weekend! The fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sat., June 16 and Sun., June 17 in the area of Chicago Avenue and Main Street.

Juneteenth Starlight Concert on Tuesday

Fast-rising poet, singer-songwriter and activist, Tasha, will perform at Twiggs Park this Tues., June 19 as part of the Juneteenth Celebration Starlight Concert! Music will begin at 7 p.m. Interactive family activities and food trucks will be available starting at 6 p.m.

Mayor Hagerty Honored for Climate Protection

The U.S. Conference of Mayors last week presented Mayor Stephen Hagerty with Honorable Mention for its 2018 Mayors’ Climate Protection Award, which recognizes and honors mayors for their outstanding and innovative practices that increase energy efficiency, expand renewable energy, and reduce carbon emissions.

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre will begin its 2018 Summertime Season with "From the Mississippi Delta," by Endesha Ida Mae Holland, Ph.D. Performances will take place June 16 through July 1 on Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.
