Veterans

Larsen, County Board Celebrate Veterans

County Board Chairman Dan Cronin and County Board member/Marine Bob Larsen presented a Veterans Day proclamation to World War II veteran Stanley Kras at a County Board meeting, paying tribute to all the men and women who served our country in the armed forces.


FY2018 County Budget Approved with No Property Tax Increase

The DuPage County Board approved the Fiscal Year 2018 budget without increasing the County portion of the property tax levy for the 10th consecutive year. The County balanced its budget despite a $3.5 million cut in revenue from the state. Click here to view the full budget.

Cronin, County Board Volunteer at Loaves & Fishes

Chairman Dan Cronin and County Board member Bob Larsen packed holiday food boxes and assisted volunteers and clients at Loaves & Fishes in Naperville. Cronin Opens Third Annual Transform Illinois Conference

Transform Illinois

Chairman Dan Cronin delivered opening remarks at the third annual Transform Illinois conference in Oak Brook. The conference focused on government reform efforts in Illinois and presented its annual Transformer Awards to legislators, municipalities and residents who prioritize and promote shared services, local government collaboration and consolidation, including Lt. Zay Leads Tour of Elmhurst Quarry

County residents came out in September to learn about the Elmhurst Quarry with DuPage County Board members Jim Zay and Janice Anderson and staff from the County’s Stormwater Division.


DOT Ethics Awards

DOT, Ethics Commission Honored by Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti

County Board Chairman Dan Cronin, Transportation Committee Chairman Don Puchalski, DOT crews and the County's Ethics Commission received recognition from Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti for exemplary intergovernmental cooperation for the County's reforms of the Ethics Ordinance and joint-purchasing contract for road salt. The stories were featured in the Lieutenant Governor’s Journal of Local Government Shared Services Best Practices.


Route 390 opening

Cronin Cuts Ribbon on Route 390

Chairman Dan Cronin and other local officials cut the ribbon on the new Illinois Tollway Route 390. The 2.5-mile road runs from Lake Street in Hanover Park to Route 83 in Bensenville. The Route 390 project marked an important step toward achieving western access to O’Hare Airport.

Larsen Greets Senior Health Fair Attendees

Health Fair

Health and Human Services Chairman Bob Larsen joined Sen. Michael Connelly greeting attendees and exhibitors at the Senior Fair in DuPage County. Chairman Dan Cronin and Sen. Connelly hosted a Senior Health Fair at the County on Oct. 4. The fair provided seniors with access to local and state agencies that can provide health- or financial-related services.


Zay Opens Emergency Preparedness Seminar
