2025 Water Main Improvements - Contract A - Project Update 8/28/2026

Sixth Avenue (Prairie to Greenview)

Work on Sixth is now substantially complete.  Punch list items and pavement striping will occur later this year.

 

Douglas Avenue (Howard to south end)

Work on Douglas is now substantially complete.  Punch list items, sod placement, street sign replacement and pavement striping will occur later this year. 

 

Prospect Avenue (Lee to Illinois)

Unfortunately, due to issues with scheduling subcontractors, the work to drill a new water main under Mannheim Road is currently delayed until September.  This week, the existing sanitary sewer was lined from Lee to Illinois.  The contractor also graded the existing road base and paved the first layer of asphalt pavement from Lee to Pine.  Next week, they will begin transferring water services from the existing water main to the new water main between Circle and Illinois.  Work on Prospect is scheduled to be substantially completed by the end of October 2026, weather permitting.
