2024 Street Improvement Project Update 8/9/24
SCHEDULED WORK:
All work is weather dependent and utility conflicts may cause delays.
VARIOUS LOCATIONS:
The contractor will begin the street milling and resurfacing at the following locations from August 12 through August 26:
Earl Av (Algonquin Rd to Forest Av)
Margret St (Van Buren Av to Forest Av)
Riverview Av (Chestnut St to Cora St)
Howard Av (Lee St to Plainfield Dr)
Scott St (Pratt Av to Sunset Dr)
The contractor will begin the street milling and resurfacing at the following locations from August 9 through August 23:
Pearson St (Prairie Av to Ellinwood St)
Ida St (Jefferson St to Perry St)
Arlington Av (Webford Av to Parsons Av)
Woodlawn Av (Cnrr to Fourth Av)
Olivia Av (Second Av to Margret St)
Second Av (Thacker St to Prairie Av)
Josephine Ct (Mt Prospect Rd to South End)
Elizabeth Ln (Joyce Dr to Kolpin Dr)
Winthrop Dr (Oakton St to South End)
The contractor will begin the street milling and resurfacing at the following locations from August 8 through August 22:
Yorkshire Ln (Regency Dr to Third Av)
Regency Dr (Berkshire Ln to Yorkshire Ln)
Third Av (Yorkshire Ln to South End)
Concord Ln (Concord Ct to Berkshire Ln)
Concord Ct (Third Av to Concord Ln)
Lechner Ln (Bellaire Av to Lyman Av)
Geri Ln (Ottawa St to North End)
Ottawa St (Bellaire Av to Geri Ln)
NO PARKING will be allowed on the street weekdays between 7:00 Am and 6:00 PM during these dates.
You will generally have access to driveways at all times, however there may be limited access to the street and driveways while the contractor is working.
The contractor will generally work on the locations in the order listed on above. The work consists of removing the top layer of asphalt, cleaning then patching as needed, then paving the new asphalt surface layer. It will take approximately 3-4 days to complete the work per street, however, there may be gaps between the removals and paving operations.

WESTERN AVE:
On August 8, the contractor will begin construction on Western Ave (Miner St to Harding Av). The contractor will begin with storm sewer repairs at various locations. This work is expected to take approximately 8 days.
NO PARKING will be allowed on Western Av during working hours. The street and your driveway may have limited access during working hours.
Working hours are from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Whenever possible, please try to limit your trips through the work zone during working hours.
