New Cloud-Based Premium Tax Platform Cuts Processing Time by Up to 60%, Gains Industry Praise

The Department is pleased to report strong early results from its new cloud‑based EFX premium tax payment platform, which has reduced payment processing time by 50–60% and is performing reliably as filings increase. Approximately one‑third of annual premium tax submissions have already been received through TriTech, and the system continues to handle the volume efficiently with responsive support.

Surplus lines brokers and insurers have expressed enthusiasm for the integrated payments which the Department anticipates releasing later this year, with full integration in place ahead of the 2026 annual filing cycle.
