Syphilis Concerns in Scott County

Good afternoon,

We are experiencing an increased rate of syphilis within Iowa and most importantly in Scott County.

In response, our department has developed a testing and treatment algorithm to aid in identifying, properly testing, and effectively treating this infection. Please note there is one algorithm for the Acute Care setting and one for an Office setting. Please refer to the letter from Dr Katz:
