National Parks and Recreation Month
Get ready for one of our favorite times of the year—National Parks and Recreation Month! This July, join us as we uncover the hidden gems of Norwalk, exploring its parks, scenic trails, and the numerous activities that make our city so special. Whether you're taking peaceful strolls or diving into our exciting events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. As you participate, don’t forget to collect stamps along the way! Each activity comes with its own unique stamp, and our staff will happily stamp your calendar throughout the month. Collect 14 out of the 22 available stamps and submit your completed calendar to the City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse by August 8th to be entered into a drawing for a yard games basket, generously sponsored by Scheels. Let’s make this July one to remember!
Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month with a couple of Sunday evening bingo sessions! Bring your family and friends to compete while enjoying a night of excitement. Our goal is to have fun while teaching the fundamentals of volleyball. We will work on passing, setting, serving and spiking with an overall emphasis on good sportsmanship. The Norwalk Parks and Recreation Men's Basketball League offers a fun, competitive environment where players can improve their skills while enjoying fast-paced gameplay. This is a non-officiated league that will run 6 weeks. Teams are formed as players arrive, and games are played to 10 points. Scoring is by 1s and 2s, promoting both inside and outside shooting. This format allows for multiple games in a short period, keeping everyone active and engaged. Please bring clean tennis shoes to wear for the program.

Enjoy being outdoors on the field and get a 'kick' from revisiting a long time favorite game in our Adult Coed Fall Kickball League. This recreational league begins play in the latter part of August, running through September, with game times ranging from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm each Sunday evening. Coed teams field ten players (5 men/5 women) ages 18 and over and play a 6-game schedule, one game a week, at the McAninch Sports Complex.

Definitions:
A household is defined as all immediate family members residing at the same street address. This includes children of divorced parents who have joint custody, stepchildren, and foster children. Baby-sitters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and ex-spouses are not considered immediate family members.
Additional household family member(s) is an add-on (not for individual purchase) for those households that have more than 5 members residing at the same address. Must be purchased in addition to a Household Family Membership.
A non-resident is defined as anyone living outside the Norwalk city limits.
High School Pass:Ages 9th - 12th grade must present a high school ID at time of pass pick up.
College Pass: Must be enrolled in college courses and present a college ID at the time of pass pick up.
Nanny pass: A pass for your nanny to take your children to the City State Bank Fieldhouse Monday - Thursday. Limit 1 per family.
Membership cancellation: You must notify the office a minimum of 5 days prior to your membership renewal date to cancel for the current month. Refunds will not be given.
