Park shelter houses may be reserved starting the first business day of the new year. They are available any day of the week during the hours of 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Superhero and Mermaid Splash Bash
with Iowa League of Heroes and Little Princess Parties!

Enjoy a special night with Flash and Wanda from Iowa League of Heroes and swim with the Mermaid Princesses from Little Princess Parties. Plenty of photo opportunities and free ice cream, while supplies last! Participants must be accompanied by parent/guardian.

YOU-DO-YOU (SELF-LED): If our staff-led activities don't fit your schedule and you need greater flexibility, pick one of our "You-Do-You" self-led options and select the location you'd like to help at or contact us to schedule an area not listed. Don't forget afterwards to share with us how much you cleaned up and where you cleaned to help our communities reach their goals.

We will help you plan ahead, protect yourself and provide you opportunities to give back to continue making Norwalk a great place to live, work and play in! Tools and supplies will be provided for hosted sites.

Little Sluggers and Kindergarten T-ball

Little Sluggers T-ball 4 (Ages 4 years by July 7, 2024)
This program is for children who are 4 years old by July 7, 2024. This is a coed league. The children will have fun playing while learning the fundamentals of T-ball. Each player will hit off a tee and advance one base with each batter. Participants will be assigned to a team. T-shirt will be provided. A glove is needed. Volunteer coaches will be needed. This is a six-week program.

Stand Up Paddleboarding with your Child
(Designed for Parents & Children ages 3 - 10)

Have you ever wanted to introduce Stand Up Paddleboarding to your younger children but weren't sure just how to go about it? It can be intimidating to watch your little in a big lake or pond while they are learning to balance with you.

Come give Stand Up Paddleboarding a try with your child in the pool! We will give instructions and guide you through paddling with your child and helping your child practice their balance on a board on their own!

Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent at all times in the water. Life jackets are required for children and can be provided.

Max of 6 paddleboards per class

Art in the Park (Kindergarten - 6th grade)

{YEL!} Chess 1.5 Summer Camp (Advanced Camp)

For students in grades 1st - 5th in Fall 2024.
Prerequisite: Previous chess classes, chess summer camps, or an 800+ ChessKid.com rating. We start in with advanced chess lessons right away. We will study opening theory, end game scenarios, and deeper strategic concepts. If you have previous experience with chess and want to take your game up a notch, this is the summer camp for you!

{YEL!} Coding Kiddos 1.4 Summer Camp

For students in 1st - 3rd grades in Fall 2024.
Designed for 21st Century learners in grades k-2. Each {YEL!} Coding class introduces kiddos to new coding, animation, and video game design concepts like movement blocks, animation, dialogue, timing, and more. {YEL!} Coding Coaches use Scratch® Junior to guide kiddos through our lessons and create their own animated stories and video games. If your kiddo loves to code or wants to learn, sign up for Coding Kiddos today to THINK, LEARN and PLAY WELL with {YEL!}.

Scratch® is an MIT created and monitored, kid-safe web interface. It uses a drag and drop programming interface to teach students of all levels coding practices. Your child will receive a Scratch user name and password so they can access their projects from any computer at anytime. Scratch® is not affiliated with {YEL!} nor does it endorse this program.

STEM Video Game Enrichment for the 21st Century learner. Each {YEL!} Coding class follows three basic components:•Teach It!…Students learn different video game and storytelling design techniques (movement blocks, control blocks, basic animation, adding scores, etc.) •Code It!… Students use Scratch® to code their own story and video games. •Explore It!…Students can write their own story and video game code, experiment with it and test new options. {YEL!} Destination Mars: Rocketry Summer Camp

For students in 2nd - 5th grades in Fall 2024.
Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have the right stuff? 3 - 5 years old tennis - This is a basic intro into the sport of tennis. The class will focus on foot eye and hand eye coordination while using fun age-appropriate games. The class will be taught with red balls and 19- or 21-inch racquet is suggested for this age. No racquet no problem, they will be provided.

3rd - 5th grade tennis - This a beginner/intermediate class. The child will learn forehands, backhands, volleys, serves and how to start the point. The last day of class we will have a mini round robin so the kids can experience how to play tennis and keep score. No racquets no problem, they will be provided.

6th - 12th grade tennis – Beginner-Advanced levels welcome. The practice will be geared to the ability of the teenager. The hope is, after 4 lessons to focus on match play, correct score keeping and being able to call the ball in/out.

Intermediate Adults - Intermediate tennis is geared toward tennis players that have a basic understanding of the game. This is also for people that have played in the past and want to get back into playing tennis. The focus will be on spins, placement, and tactics.

Evening Water Aerobics - 2 class options

Our aquatic workout is performed in the cool and relaxing pool atmosphere. Each class consists of a 60-minute aerobic workout that includes muscle toning for arms, stomach, hips, and legs along with flexibility and relaxation exercises. This program stresses going at your own pace. All exercise can be performed either high or low impact. You decide how hard you want to work.

REMINDER: children age 3 and under swim for free, and should not be included on a season pass.

Definitions:

A household is defined as all immediate family members residing at the same street address. This includes children of divorced parents who have joint custody, stepchildren, and foster children. Baby-sitters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and ex-spouses are not considered immediate family members.

A non-resident is defined as anyone living outside the Norwalk city limits.

Nanny pass: A pass for your nanny to take your children to the pool Monday - Thursday. Limit 1 per family.
