Everyone age 55 and older are welcome! Come and socialize with the Parks and Recreation staff and enjoy a potluck style lunch. The main dish and water will be provided. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Each event will have a different speaker. Speakers will be announced prior to the event.

Family Programs
Mommy & Me Dance The Park and Recreation Department will host Mothers and their child(ren) for an evening filled with dancing, fun, light snacks, dessert and photo opportunities. If mom is not available, an aunt, sister, grandmother or mother figure is always welcome. All ages are welcome!

Daddy & Me Dance The Park and Recreation Department will host the social event of the year, an evening filled with dancing and fun. Dads, parents, relatives, guardians and/or role models are invited to bring their daughter(s) to the Daddy & Me Dance and enjoy light snacks, dessert, photobooth opportunities and lots of memories. All ages are welcome!

Family Bingo Night Stop by the library on Sunday evenings and enjoy a good time with Bingo and tasty treats. Bring munchies or snacks to share with all and we will provide the beverage. All ages are invited to participate. Bingo callers will be the Norwalk Lions Club Members.

Family Open Gym (All Ages Welcome) Shoot hoops or play a pick-up game with friends or family. Bring clean tennis shoes for the floor. No registration required, just show up and play. For residents of Norwalk school district only.

Indoor Pickleball Open Gym Pickleball is a lively racket game for all ages. Bring a partner to play with or drop in and see if someone else is available to play. You can play singles or doubles.

Facility Supervisors - minimum age: 18 years. Monitoring youth and adult programming at gym spaces, classrooms, and the sports complex. Year round with varying hours, including nights and weekends/ Pay rate: $15/hour Online Application
Aquatic Center Lifeguards - minimum age: 15 years. Requires Lifeguard Training certification through the American Red Cross. Lifeguard Training certification must be valid and current through August 31st. Position is eligible for up to 40 hours per week. Assigned work hours vary between 8:30 AM and 10:30 PM, including weekends and holidays. For positions requiring certifications, we provide your training. Pay rate: $12.00/hour, New wages coming soon! Aquatic Center Supervisors- minimum age: be at least 17 years old or a senior in high school and have prior experience in lifeguarding. Requires Lifeguard Training certification and Water Safety Instructor certification through the American Red Cross. Certifications must be valid and current through August 31st. Aquatic Center Swim Lesson (Water Safety) Instructor - minimum age: 16 years. Adheres to pool policy and procedures for teaching swim lessons. Safely and effectively teaches children methods of swimming as per the American Red Cross standards. Must hold valid and current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification through August 31st. Assigned work hours vary between 8:30 AM and 8:30 PM.
