There will be a mixture of split shifts and limited onsite staff. The public is encouraged to visit the office for critical items and continue to use online options (www.norwalkparks.org) or phone calls (981-9206) for all other items. We will not be scheduling or accepting in office meetings or sales calls at this time.
What can I expect when I visit Parks and Recreation in the near future:
For the health of our customers and employees we will be following CDC recommendations while at work by practicing social distancing, good hand washing techniques, wearing face masks and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces. We will ask customers to help keep us safe when they visit by also following CDC recommendations, and limiting the number of visitors in our office to a maximum of 2 people. We appreciate your understanding.
All park playground equipment, shelters and skate park are open. Attendees must follow our Park Facility Reopening Policy.
Park open spaces and trails CONTINUE to be open including Elizabeth Holland Park. CDC guidelines must be followed when using these public spaces.
We are asking everyone to follow theCDC guidelines and Governor Kim Reynolds most recent emergency proclamation regarding staying at home, maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet, if you are sick or have symptoms stay home, wash your hands frequently, cough or sneeze into a tissue or the inside of your elbow and wear cloth face coverings.
A list of updated symptoms include:

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
We are continually monitoring the situation with the help of Warren County Health Services, the Iowa Department of Public Health, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and local emergency services.
