There will be a mixture of split shifts and limited onsite staff. The public is encouraged to visit the office for critical items and continue to use online options (www.norwalkparks.org) or phone calls (981-9206) for all other items. We will not be scheduling or accepting in office meetings or sales calls at this time.
What can I expect when I visit Parks and Recreation in the near future:
For the health of our customers and employees we will be following CDC recommendations while at work by practicing social distancing, good hand washing techniques, wearing face masks and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces. We will ask customers to help keep us safe when they visit by also following CDC recommendations, and limiting the number of visitors in our office to a maximum of 2 people. We appreciate your understanding.
All park playground equipment, shelters and skate park are open. Attendees must follow our Park Facility Reopening Policy.
Park open spaces and trails CONTINUE to be open including Elizabeth Holland Park. CDC guidelines must be followed when using these public spaces.
The Norwalk Aquatic Center is open to Norwalk residents. Visit our website for more information on hours, swim lesson registration and punch pass sales. Season passes and Pool rentals will not be available this season. Attendees must follow our Aquatic Center Reopening Policy posted at the Aquatic Center and on our website at www.norwalkparks.org.
We are asking everyone to follow theCDC guidelines and Governor Kim Reynolds most recent emergency proclamation regarding staying at home, maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet, if you are sick or have symptoms stay home, wash your hands frequently, cough or sneeze into a tissue or the inside of your elbow and wear cloth face coverings.

Norwalk Police Department is now offering Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.), Basic Physical Defense for Woman. This 9-hour course provides hands-on instruction by Nationally Certified Norwalk Police R.A.D. instructors. The topics covered include but are not limited to; Risk Reduction Strategies, Continuum of survival, weapons and targets of the body, principals of defense, and principles of striking. For further information please visit http://rad-systems.com/. R.A.D. also offers a Lifetime Return and Practice Policy for course graduates. The course manuals and t-shirt are provided. Young adults (14-17 years old) are welcome with parental consent. Students need to wear comfortable clothing for exercise and shoes with good lateral support.

Everyone ages 55 and older is invited to attend a free exercise program that will include stretching and toning. We will meet at the Billy O. Phillips Park, located at 2500 Lexington Drive.
