~ Trick or Treat night in Norwalk will be Wednesday, October 30 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Before you head out for a ghostly fun time in your neighborhood be sure to stop by the Public Safety Building to pick up your trick-or-treat bag, glow sticks, and treats. This event is for children Preschool to 5th grade.

~ Get out your glue gun and imaginations for this program. Children in 3rd through 5th grades at Lakewood Elementary are invited to join. They meet once a month after school on early out Wednesdays to make special art and craft projects.
YEL Grandmasters of Chess - Registration: September 9 – October 23 Program Information: Friday, 3:20 pm to 4:20 pm, Oct 25, Nov 1, 8 (no class), 15, 22, 29 (no class), Dec 6, 13 Cost: $77.00 resident / $88.55 nonresident Location: Norwalk Public Safety Building training room -- Chess class follows four basic components: Teach It! Each class students are taught different chess concepts and coached to implement those concepts into their chess games. Puzzle It! Students are given chess puzzles (constructed by WIM Serafima Sokolovskaya) and work with coach guidance. Play It! Each class ends with students playing 20 -30 minutes of chess. Coaches often feature in-class tournaments during the session. Class fee includes Chesskids.com membership for the session (a $49 annual value). For students grades 3rd – 5th.

~ This program is for boys and girls in 5th and 6th grades. This is a coed team unless we have enough to assign boy/girl teams. League will practice one night a week and play games on Saturdays. Adult Pick-up Basketball Games- Registration: Begins September 16 (closes when full) Program Information: Wednesday nights, October 2 - March 18 Cost: $32.10 resident / $36.92 non resident Location: Norwalk Middle School gym
~ Pick-up basketball games will be offered for adults. Please bring clean tennis shoes to wear for the games. This program is only for residents who live within the Norwalk School District.

~ Stop by the gym to develop your shooting skills or to pick up a game of basketball. Make sure you bring a clean pair of tennis shoes to play ball. This open gym is for students 7th to 12th grade and adults. Bring your own basketball due to the limited amount at the school.

~ This program is for boys and girls in 4th through 6th grades.. Our goal is to have fun while teaching the fundamentals of volleyball. We will work on passing, setting, and spiking with an overall emphasis on good sportsmanship. This program will begin with practice for the first two weeks and then the boys and girls will be assigned to teams and will play games for the next four weeks.

~ This program is open to any student in Pre- K through 2nd grade. Beginner Warrior Wrestling Club is designed for beginner wrestlers with little or no experience. Throughout these practices the skills and techniques will align with the goals of developing a strong K - 12 wrestling program. This level is specifically designed to introduce your student athlete to the sport while maintaining a fun, positive learning environment. Volunteer coaches needed!

~ Everyone ages 55 and older is invited to attend a free exercise program that will include stretching and toning. We will meet at the Norwalk Christian Church, located at 701 Main Street. Registration is NOT required. This is a continuous program every Monday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
Well-Seasoned Potluck - Program Information: Friday, Oct 11, Nov 8, Dec 13, Jan 10, Feb 7, and Mar 6 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Cost: FREE to the public Location: Norwalk Public Safety Building
