-- {YEL!} Junior Coding and Video Games with Scratch is for 2nd - 5th graders. Each {YEL!} Coding class follows four basic components: TEACH IT!....Students learn different video games and storytelling design techniques (movement of blocks, control blocks, basic animation, adding scores, etc.) CODE IT!....Students use Scratch to code their own story and video games. EXPLORE IT!....Students can write their own story and video game code, experiment with it and test new options. Our collaborative learning environment encourages students to learn from each other. KEEP IT!....Students keep their stories and video games online with Scratch and can access it and expand upon it at anytime. Sign up today to THINK, LEARN, and PLAY WELL with {YEL!}. Scratch is an MIT created and monitored, kid-safe web interface. It uses a drag and drop programming interface to teach students of all levels coding pratices. -- {YEL!} Destination Mars: Rocketry Course is for students entering 2nd - 5th grade. Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home. Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag, and more. 2019 PeeWee Flag Football (1st - 3rd grade) Registration: June 10 - July 21 Program Information: Week of August 19 (tentatively)

-- This fundamental program is for children entering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade this coming school year. Children will learn offensive and defensive fundamentals of football. Parks and Recreation provides a team shirt. This is a six-week program; players will have practices/games twice per week. The number of participants will determine the exact nights, due to limited field space. Volunteer coaches will be needed!
Fall Soccer (1st - 7th grade) Registration: June 10 - July 8 (extended to July 21) Program Information: Week of August 19 (tentatively) Cost: $51.00 resident / $58.65 non resident
-- This soccer program is for children entering 1st through 7th grade Fall of 2019. Soccer is a great aerobic sport and many children enjoy playing the game because of the constant motion. Early Bird Body Sculpting - Registration: June 28 - July 15 Program Information: July 16 - August 29 Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 am to 6:15 am Cost: $24.50 resident / $28.20 non resident
-- For those of you who get up with the chickens, come join this early morning class that will work on ultimate body sculpting, Pilate's, and Chico Metrics. This class is designed to maximize core strength, firm, and tone your butt, thighs, and arms. This class will use dumbbells, big exercise balls (your own on designated days) and dynabands that will put you to the test with added intensity. Bring a mat/towel, hand weights are optional. --Phase 3: Conditioned Small-Sided Games - Using SSG's to reinforce the technical application against opposition.
--Phase 4: Game Scenarios - Scrimmaging but in a more meaningful way. We create game-like challenges for the players to solve using the skills they learned!

--Phase 1: Designed to get the players ready and focused, introducing the technical components as well as incorporating dynamic stretching.
--Phase 2: Skills Session - Developing situations where the players are given passive pressure whilst refining the technique.
--Phase 3: Playing Under Pressure - Creating different situations for the attackers to beat a player in a competitive situation.
--Phase 4: Game Related Practice - Full or small-sided game to enable the players to penetrate the opposition in a game situation.
