A message from Mr. Miller, IKM-Manning Superintendent regarding this morning's weather-related cancellation.

I want to apologize for the late notice on canceling school. I was out driving and it became substantially worse with blowing and drifting with the weather going to get colder, windier, and roads becoming slick I decided it was in the best interest to cancel. 

I appreciate Mr. Wall helping get the buses turned around that had left and getting the alert out immediately. 

Maybe we could have gone but with our district land size and students traveling. My judgement was to go with safety. I was told this and reminded the other day I would rather go to school in late May or June than the possibility of a funeral in February.
