Child Abuse Prevention Month
In a world where child abuse remains a pressing concern, the Community Partnership for Protecting Children (CPPC) has taken a creative and powerful approach to address the issue. Their goal is simple yet profound: to prevent violence against children by creating awareness.
Things you can do:
- Learn about abuse & help those that have been hurt
- String blue lights in your windows or around your house
- Distribute a monthly calendar to encourage families to do daily activities with their children
- Watch for Pinwheel Gardens planted outside buildings during the month.
- Provide the pinwheel color sheet to children and talk about that the Pinwheel represents
- Wear Blue throughout the month to help raise awareness for child abuse prevention
- Encourage parents to spend quality time interacting with children.
