2023-2027 Iowa Cancer Plan Available!
The Iowa Cancer Consortium has been working on updating the Iowa Cancer Plan for over a year and they are proud to present the *new* Iowa Cancer Plan at CancerIowa.org. New priority areas in the plan include (but aren't limited to) Hepatitis C, environmental carcinogens, ovarian cancer awareness and education, biomarker testing, adolescent and young adult cancer, and pediatric cancer.
Navigating Difference Training
Is your agency looking for cost effective and high quality professional development around strengthening the cultural competency of your nonprofit? If so, join us for Navigating Difference. A limited number of scholarships are available to those nonprofits who serve Dallas County residents. Cost to attend without scholarship is $300 per person for the 2.5 day series. Mini Medical School
Des Moines University will be offering Mini Medical School this February to help you expand your medical knowledge without taking the MCAT. This four-session, Tuesday evening series explores interesting, relevant topics in an accessible style appropriate for all audiences, aged middle school and up. 2023 Prairie Meadows Grants
Community Betterment Grant Program
The Community Betterment Grant program funds small-to-medium projects from organizations seeking to improve the lives of those in their communities. Requests can range from $100-$99,999.
Youth Sports and Recreational Grant Program
The Youth Sports and Recreational Grant program seeks to benefit many qualified youth sports organizations. Requests can range from $1,000-$50,000.
Legacy Grant Program
The Legacy Grant programs provides funding for large-scale, signature projects that enhance the community in central Iowa. Requests range from $100,000 to $1 million.
