It's National Public Health Week!
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed the week of April 4-10, 2022 as National Public Health Week. We invite you to celebrate with us by learning more about the field of public health!
What is Public Health?
What does public health look like in Dallas County?
The Dallas County Health Department includes nine employees that serve the community through emergency preparedness, immunization services, communicable disease investigations, health navigation, environmental health services, and community health activities.

How can we celebrate public health?
The theme of the week is "Public health is where you are". Everyone can influence public health by choosing healthy behaviors, caring for the environment in which we live, work or play, and advocating for a health-in-all-policies approach. This Public Health Week, we invite you to think about your role in public health. We have a community full of public health champions, and you can be one of them. Visit www.nphw.org to learn more!
Happy Public Health Week!
