Arrest Made in Attempted Murder
Date: February 9, 2022
Adel, IA - At approximately 9:44 PM on February 8, 2022 the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 phone call from a witness stating that a person had just been stabbed and was laying in the street in front of 909 1st Street in Redfield, Iowa.
A Deputy from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office arrived at approximately 9:46 PM and assisted others on scene with providing aid to the victim. Shortly after arriving the Deputy determined that the person whom had stabbed the victim was still there. This suspect was detained and identified as Tyler Scott Delany DOB 9-29-2000 from Adel, Iowa.
Redfield First Responders and Dallas County EMS were dispatched to the scene and began to perform live saving measures. An air ambulance was requested but was later disregarded in favor of ground transportation.
The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital in downtown Des Moines where he was rushed into emergency surgery.
Detectives from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office are still working this investigation and several witnesses have been interviewed. While this case is still active and open we do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time and our only suspect is in custody on a $500,000.00 bond.
The victim is listed in stable condition at this time and has been identified as Hunter Rio Randall Keasy DOB 7-16-1999 from Dallas Center.
