Iowa Administrative Code Updates
The State Plumbing Code has been updated to the 2024 Uniform Plumbing Code.
The State Mechanical Code has been updated to the 2024 International Mechanical Code.
All of the administrative rules for the Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Board are now updated for the Dept of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL). This means all of the legal citations for these chapters have changed. Over the last few years since the transition to DIAL, these chapters have gone through the Red Tape Review process as required by executive order. All administrative rules in Iowa are required to go through this process to eliminate unnecessary, duplicative, and restrictive language.
All of these new codes and rules can now be found on the DIAL website.
