Oversize/Overweight Permit Severe Weather Travel Restrictions In Effect December 15, 2021
Travel restricted beginning at 12:00pm
The national weather service has issued a high wind warning for the State of Iowa beginning at 12:00pm Wednesday, December 15th until daybreak on Thursday, December 16th. Very strong sustained winds speeds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts of 55 to 70 mph are expected. Travel will become extremely difficult in the afternoon and evening, especially for high profile vehicles such as trucks and buses.
Oversize/Overweight permitted vehicles will be restricted from traveling effective 12:00pm on December 15th until 30 minutes prior to sunrise on December 16th.
