CACFP is Making a Difference!

  • Taylor, CACFP home provider says, "The biggest meal time barrier for me is the pickier eaters who refuse to eat their rainbow of fruits and vegetables. My own children have spoiled me with their lack of pickiness but I have 2-3 daycare children enrolled who have lists as long as they are tall of things they don't like or don't want to eat. The way I tend to overcome these barriers is by taking them to farmers markets and produce trucks."
  • Jennifer, CACFP provider comments, "My biggest barrier is taking the time to plan and prep time.  My biggest success has been gardening with the kids and getting their help growing vegetables.  This makes them more likely to try something new."
