CACFP Success Story

Home provider Nicole Halligan says, "To save time in looking for recipes and checking to see if they utilize foods that are credible, I use recipes that are provided to me at face to face CACFP trainings and renewal meetings. I also subscribe to Iowa State Extension office's newsletter and receive recipes through email from this organization that are formatted to the CACFP guidelines and utilize only credible foods. I keep these recipes in a small box in my kitchen and use them each week when making a menu and grocery list for the next week for my home child care program." Spend Smart. Eat Smart.
