To our Local Agency and Consultant partners,
Linked here is a letter sent by Mitchell Dillavou, Chief Engineer at Iowa DOT, to the Iowa Association of General Contractors on April 13, 2020. This letter waives the formal notice requirements a Contractor must provide via Articles 1109.10 & 1111.03 of the Iowa DOT Standard Specifications for COVID-19 outbreak related impacts on Iowa DOT Construction projects.
As we work through this pandemic together, we encourage you to review the attached letter and consider taking a similar approach when working with contractors on your local projects as well.
