Education Subcommittee Presentation
Director Wharton will be presenting to the Education Appropriation Subcommittee at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19th. The meeting will be held in room 22 at the Capital building. She will be giving a 15 minute presentation about IDB’s recent changes and new initiatives. She will also be explaining the Governor recommended $80,000 increase to our appropriation to add an additional Independent Living Teacher to better serve older individuals who are losing vision. Materials from this presentation will be available on our website prior to the presentation at https://blind.iowa.gov/presentation-materials. Room 22 is best accessed by taking the elevator at the south end of the ground floor to the 2nd floor. Coming off the elevator, Room 22 is to the right. Those wishing to attend may want to arrive early to get seats.
