• Administration for Community Living has released a report based on information from surveys of congregate meal and home-delivered meal participants.  It describes NSP participants' needs, frequency of program use and participation in other programs and use of services: Needs of and Service Use Among Participants in the Older Americans Act Title III-C Nutrition Services Program.
  
  

• Iowa is one of five states selected by the Center for Health Care Strategies to join Helping States Support Families Caring for an Aging America.  The mission of the group is to enhance programs to support family caregivers of older adults. • The US Department of Justice and Department of Agriculture hosted the first Rural and Tribal Elder Justice Summit in Des Moines on November 14 and 15.  The summit focused on supporting the efforts of elder justice professionals to combat elder abuse and financial exploitation in rural and tribal communities.
