The Lead Professional Certification Program is planning to transition to an on-line certification system later this year.  At that time, we will also change from a one-year certification cycle to a three-year cycle. You can view all proposed changes to our Administrative Rules by clicking on this link:   https://www.legis.iowa.gov/docs/aco/arc/2969C.pdf

These changes are now in the “public comment” period.  If you would like to comment on these changes, please provide written comments to Kane Young, Bureau of Environmental Health Services, Iowa Department of Public Health, 321 East 12th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50319. E-mails may be sent to kane.young@idph.iowa.gov.  Comments can also be made at the public hearing that will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Lucas State Office Building, 321 East 12th Street, Des Moines, Iowa. This will be held in conference room 518."
