Gov. Branstad appoints Heather Lauber District Court Judge
(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today appointed Heather Lauber as judge to the 5C Judicial District. Lauber was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Rebecca Ebinger as District Judge to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
Lauber, 37, of West Des Moines, currently serves as District Associate Judge for Polk County. Prior to her appointment, she served as an Assistant Public Defender. Lauber received her law degree from Drake University Law School in 2003 and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University in 2000.
