HIV Prevention Program

The HIV/AIDS Program receives HIV prevention funds from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide for HIV counseling and testing, partner counseling and referral services, health education/risk reduction activities and health communication/public information activities. These activities are targeted to high-risk individuals as defined in Iowa’s HIV Prevention Comprehensive Plan. The funding is also awarded to support HIV prevention community planning, technical assistance and capacity building activities.
