  Active Shooter Seminar for Teachers
The Marietta Police Department is pleased to announce that we are offering an Active Shooter Response Seminar for Teachers ONLY on Wednesday, March 2nd, @ Marietta High School from 6:00-7:30pm. ALL teachers ranging from daycare to universities are invited and allowed to bring one guest. Read more

The City of Marietta's Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce it will hold a Mid-Winter Break Camp for children ages 6 – 12, February 15th – 19th from 9am – 4pm at Custer Park Sports and Fitness Center located at 545 Kenneth E. Marcus Way, Marietta, GA 30060. Read more

  Marietta Police Department Hosts Charity Golf Tournament for Special Olympics
The Marietta Police Department is hosting a charity golf tournament to benefit the Special Olympics of Georgia and the 26,000 Georgia athletes/participants. The Special Olympics offers 25 different sports for the athletes to experience. Athletes gain confidence and life skills by participating and competing in their chosen sport. We invite you to join us for a day of golf to help raise money and awareness for this cause. Read more
 
  Evening with History: Slave. Soldier. Freedom on February 3rd
On Wednesday, February 3rd, at 7pm, the Marietta Museum of History hosts its first Evening with History of 2016. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the United States Colored Troops in Georgia being discharged from their service, we will have a special theatrical reading and lecture. Read more
 
  Marietta Square Farmers Market Winter Session Open Through March 26
The Marietta Square Farmers Market's winter edition will continue every Saturday – rain or shine – through March 26 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Historic Marietta Square. Read more
 
  Marietta Police Offers RAD Women's Self-Defense Class
The Marietta Police Department will offer a 12-hour Rape Aggression Defense class in February for women of all fitness levels and ages to successfully learn options to escape attacks. Participants will learn techniques designed to be quick and effective in delivering pain to vulnerable locations on the attacker's body. Read more
