DIXON MEMORIAL RANGE RE-OPENS AFTER ONE-DAY CLOSURE
The shooting range at Dixon
Memorial WMA (located near Waycross) has re-opened as of Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
The closure allowed staff to
install new target holders, receive new chairs for the range, make some minor
repairs, as well as complete some litter clean-up.
Staff also was able to excavate
sand from around the storm water drainage pipes of the 25 and 100-yard ranges to prevent pooling.
