Starting Monday, October 9, portions of Rockbridge Road between South Deshon Road and Stephenson Road will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Two-way traffic on a portion of Rockbridge Road is allowed, but only a single-lane of traffic will be open in the section indicated by dotted red line in the map below.
Motorists and MARTA passengers that use Rockbridge Road are urged to plan for extra commuting time. Lane closure signs will be in the area alerting motorists to the construction work and local traffic restrictions.
The Rockbridge Road Water Main Replacement Project will replace nearly seven miles of water main pipe.
Single-lane closures will occur along Rockbridge Road between South Deshon Road and Memorial Drive throughout the 20-month water main replacement project.
