 The Seawall Contractor Informational Meeting (see video) was held at City Hall on April 5, 2024. This discussion focused on proposed updates to Chapter 69 of the city’s Land Development Regulations to allow for backfill during the elevation of seawalls and to provide requirements for the design of living shorelines.

 The next City Commission Meeting & Workshop will be on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 10451 Gulf Blvd.

 The April 11 Local Planning Agency Board Meeting has been cancelled. The next LPA Board Meeting will be on Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m. in Commission Chambers at City Hall, 10451 Gulf Blvd. The meeting will immediately follow the Planning and Zoning Board Meeting.
This meeting will discuss the next Terrain Modification Program elements of Elevate T.I.: Discuss Cumulative Substantial Improvements & Revisions to Land Development Regulations, Chapters 76 (stormwater), 54 and 75 (utilities).

 The posting for City Manager will close today, April 10. At the April 19 public presentation to the Treasure Island City Commission, Strategic Government Resources will provide an overview of the most qualified applicants for the city's City Manager position. The Commission will have the opportunity to review the candidates' qualifications and experience before narrowing down the field to 8 to 12 applicants to move on to the next round of interviews. This presentation will be an important step in the selection process to ensure the city hires the most qualified and capable individual to lead the community.

 Treasure Island Fire Rescue recently held an Essential Skills Challenge, where crews competed in various training exercises to sharpen their skills and prepare for real-life scenarios. The challenge included activities such as Vent Enter Search, Gustin Pack Deployment, and Rapid Intervention Team exercises. The friendly competition allowed crews to test their abilities and work together to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in emergency situations. Overall, the Essential Skills Challenge provided valuable training and teamwork opportunities for TIFR.

CARD provides support and assistance to individuals with autism and related disabilities, with the goal of helping them reach their full potential.
To purchase a shirt, simply send an email to mnelson@mytreasureisland.org, call 727-547-4590 ext. 260 or stop by the fire department located at 180 108th Avenue. TIFR can NOT mail shirts. They will need to be picked up at the station.

 Treasure Island is offering dog lovers the opportunity to purchase a commemorative dog park paver to help expand the entranceway at the John Morroni Memorial Dog Park at Rosselli Park. The pavers are $150 each and measure 8" x 8" in size, with a vibrant Admiral Red color. Rock Around the Clock will rock downtown Treasure Island as 107th Avenue turns into a stage and dance floor while bringing together plaza businesses and residents for an unforgettable evening featuring two outstanding bands: Kid Royale Band, and The Jerry Outlaw Group.
