Congratulations to Commissioner Arden Dickey on being sworn in as the new District 4 Commissioner for Treasure Island. Dickey was chosen by voters in last week’s Municipal Election.
Congratulations also go out to Mayor Tyler Payne and Commissioner John Doctor on being sworn in. Both ran unopposed. Mayor Payne will begin his second term as Mayor and Commissioner Doctor will begin his second term as Commissioner of District 2. Commissioner Doctor was also appointed as Vice Mayor.
It was also a historic night as it was the first City Commission Meeting in the new City Hall Commission Chambers.

 The city is excited to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 2 at 6 p.m. at City Hall’s new location, 10451 Gulf Blvd. Current and former city officials will be in attendance to celebrate this joyous occasion.
The newly renovated, 28,347-square-foot building cost $11 million which included the cost to acquire the property and renovations to the existing building. City Hall will house the City Commission Chambers, City Hall departments, Public Works Administration, and rentable recreation spaces for the community. The facility will serve as a central hub of the city, providing public space that is accessible, functional, and a source of pride for residents.
Tours of the new City Hall will be offered during the city’s Community Appreciation Day on April 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 Treasure Island is offering dog lovers the opportunity to purchase a commemorative dog park paver to help expand the entranceway at the John Morroni Memorial Dog Park at Rosselli Park. The pavers are $150 each and measure 8" x 8" in size, with a vibrant Admiral Red color. Each paver can be personalized with up to 6 lines of text, with 20 characters per line including spacing and punctuation. This is a great way for dog lovers to leave a lasting mark in the community while supporting a beloved canine-centric space.

 Attention library enthusiasts! The Gulf Beaches Library currently has a vacancy on their Resident Board and is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join their team. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the community and help shape the future of the Gulf Beaches Library. If you're interested in serving on the board, please submit a letter of interest outlining your qualifications and why you're interested in serving to cityclerk@mytreasureisland.org. Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, April 2.

 Are you ready to rock! The city of Treasure Island is looking for vendors for the city's annual Rock Around the Clock event on May 11. This event is an exciting celebration of music, community, and local businesses.
Rock Around the Clock will rock downtown Treasure Island as 107th Avenue turns into a stage and dance floor while bringing together plaza businesses and residents for an unforgettable evening featuring two outstanding bands: Kid Royale Band, and The Jerry Outlaw Group.
Vendor participation will greatly enhance the Rock Around the Clock experience for attendees and that's why you're invited to join in helping make this event a success.
