How to report storm damage from this past weekend's storm:
Residents, please report damages to Pinellas County at https://pinellas.gov/reportdamage
Businesses, please report damages to the Florida Division of Emergency Management at https://floridadisaster.biz/BusinessDamageAssessments
Pinellas County flood recovery information: https://pinellas.gov/flooding
Remember that permits are required for most work in Treasure Island as the city is in a special flood hazard area (flood zone). You may begin work without a permit in emergency situations, by notifying permits@mytreasureisland.org and specifying the address and the nature of the work. You will need to apply for a permit within 48 hours of this notification.

Sanitation staff will be picking up storm-damaged furniture, appliances and carpeting through Dec. 29. This effort is concentrated in the Sunset Beach area that was flooded.
Construction material will not be picked up (for example: drywall, tiles, and wood from the property). Please refer to the Pinellas County Solid Waste location for the disposal of construction materials, by clicking here.
Due to limited staff, this removal process will take a bit of time. We ask for your patience.

Headed to the beach for a nice holiday weekend? Santa, city and county officials ask that beachgoers please keep off the sand dunes and be extra cautious at the access points. The new sand dunes sustained significant erosion from the storm last weekend and some of the access points are closed off for safety.
While the dunes did their job in providing protection from storm surge, city and county staff are still assessing damages. Property owners should not attempt to move or disturb the placed sand.

2024 Resident Parking Passes are now available for purchase. The City of Treasure Island is switching to a pay-by-plate parking system. This change will phase out the resident hangtags but allow residents to change vehicles and add guest parking passes. The city will still use hangtags and decals through 2024 to allow residents to adjust to the new pay-by-plate system.
Please visit mytreasureisland.org/parking to review the information about the program.
Contact city staff at Parking@mytreasureisland.org or 727-547-4575 x 223, with any questions.

Over the past several weeks Treasure Island Fire Rescue collected monetary donations and toys for Toys for Tots. With the monetary donations, members of TIFR played Santa's little helpers and went to shop for more toys.
TIFR was able to collect enough toys to fill 10 boxes! The toys were delivered to the Toys for Tots Foundation in time for more than 9,000 families to have a very merry Christmas. Thank you for the support of our community to make this happen!

The city of Treasure Island invites the community to learn about Elevate T.I., Treasure Island’s Terrain Modification Program. This innovative program will provide the framework to require the use of fill material when redeveloping, essentially removing the city’s existing no-fill policies. The website explains the reason for the program and its proposed implementation.
To gain a better understanding of the community’s view on the subject, the city has added a survey button to the top of the webpage. In the next few weeks, two videos will be added to the website to help explain the program further – the videos will also be posted to the city’s social media accounts. The first video will highlight why action is needed and the second will explain how Treasure Island will elevate organically as redevelopment occurs over time.
