 During the summer months, grass can grow at a fast pace, requiring you to mow your lawn more. Check out some of these tips when taking care of your lawn.
- Grass clippings of an inch or less in length are beneficial to leave on your lawn. Clippings are 80% water and contain nutrients that fertilize your yard; they will decompose quickly while encouraging new growth.
- Keep areas near storm drains clean. When a storm drain gets clogged, water can back up into streets, yards and homes.
- Do not blow clippings into roadways.
- Bag or can (32 gallon max can size) grass clippings for pick up on Wednesdays.
