Come join in the fun of TIFR's Walk to Beach Day - this Friday, June 30.
TIFR will be teaming up with the Treasure Island Police Department, Treasure Island city staff, and other local agencies to get the message out about pedestrian safety by offering safety tips, educational materials, and your very own personal crossing guard during the event.
How's this event work?
• Treasure Island Fire will have approximately 4 stations set up at main crosswalks between 104th and 107th with a minimum of 2-4 people at each station. • Each station will have, a tent, a cooler with beverages, and educational material. • Each person will have an orange vest and flag or stop sign to help pedestrians cross safely to or from the beach.

Celebrate America by watching the city of Treasure Island light up with a spectacular fireworks show on the beach. The celebration will be Tuesday, July 4 (rain date July 5) starting at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be shot from the beach near Gulf Front Park, located at 10400 Gulf Blvd. Bring a beach chair or towel and enjoy the show as fireworks light up the night sky.
There will be parking in Treasure Island Park from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. for $20, credit cards only. No cash will be accepted and there will be no re-entry.

City of Treasure Island offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Sanitation will be working and there will be no changes to waste pickup or recycling routes.
Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis Recreation facility will close at 5 p.m. on July 4.

The city of Treasure Island established a cooperation agreement with Pinellas County which allows for Community Development Grant funding to assist eligible homeowners in improving the physical condition of their homes.
