The city of Treasure Island wants to hear from you. Help us choose a tagline that makes you want to live or visit our beautiful beach community.
The city of Treasure Island currently does not have a tagline or branding logo; however, the city seal is commonly used throughout the community as our logo. While keeping the current city seal, which ties us to a story of how the city got its name, the city is seeking to develop a brand to create an identity, enhance community pride and create a market presence for relocation, tourism and general perception.
The City Commission, branding consultants and city staff have narrowed down what the new logo will be but want to get input from the community on a tagline.
CLICK HERE to see the taglines and vote for which one you like best.
The new logo and tagline will soon be revealed.

Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) is offering funding to beachfront properties in Treasure Island to reduce the negative impacts of lights on sea turtles. Florida’s beaches host 90% of all sea turtles nesting in the United States. Unfortunately, poorly managed lights confuse and disorient hundreds of thousands of sea turtles each year, which can lead to their death.
Through a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, STC is providing money to single-family homes, small condominiums, and businesses willing to convert problematic light fixtures and bulbs to wildlife-friendly alternatives. STC partners with property representatives and owners to implement these changes by designing cost-effective lighting plans that utilize the best available technology to meet the safety needs of owners and guests. STC’s lighting plans also ensure that properties follow existing lighting ordinances in your area.
CLICK HERE for more information. If you are interested in a lighting retrofit, please contact the STC Lighting Team at (352) 373-6441 or contact Lighting Project Manager, Rachel Tighe, at rachel@conserveturtles.org.
