The 2023 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday continues through June 9. Consumers can purchase qualifying disaster preparedness supplies exempt from tax during the Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday. As our area enters the rainy season, it's important to do your part to help protect our ecosystem. Incorrect use of fertilizer, excessive irrigation, and poor landscape debris management can allow nutrients to leach into the groundwater and wash into storm drains that flow to creeks, lakes, Tampa Bay, or the Gulf of Mexico. This causes harmful algae blooms, which lower oxygen levels and lead to fish kills.
