 City of Treasure Island offices will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday Jan. 16.
There are no changes to the waste collection schedule.
The Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis facility will be open normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will be offering golf specials to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Please contact the facility at (727) 360-6062 for more information.
For police or fire emergencies, dial 9-1-1.

 The Treasure Island Causeway Bascule Bridge will close to boat traffic from Jan. 16 through Feb. 3. Vehicle traffic will remain normal. This closure is necessary to correct communications errors with the Programmable Logic Controllers and wiring on both sides of the bridge. Vessels able to safely pass without an opening may do so at any time.

 The 26th Annual Treasure Island Sport Kite Competition and Festival returns to Treasure Island in 2023! Taking place on Treasure Island Beach this weekend, Jan. 14-15, behind the Thunderbird Beach Resort, and is sponsored by Windworks inc.
Spectators come to be amazed by the talented kite flyers performing to music at this two-day event. This event includes kite flying of all types, ground displays, bubbles and tons of fun for all ages. Quad Line and Dual Line lessons will be available on the beach allowing passersby a chance to learn how to fly stunt kites for free. After the sun goes down there is potential for a night fly in the same fabulous location! (weather/wind permitting of course).

 A taste you can't forget! That's what we're looking forward to discovering at this year's Treasure Island Fire Rescue Chili Cook-Off!
This tasty event will take place on Feb. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Treasure Island Community Center, 154 106th Avenue. There will be music, prizes, a raffle and more. There will also be beer and wine available for a donation. This annual event benefits the Treasure Island Fire Association and its chosen charities.
