The city's Community Development Department (CDD) wants homeowners to know that if/when a home or business gets damaged after a heavy rainstorm/flood to call the CDD or email permits@mytreasureisland.org before starting any type of work.
The CDD can issue emergency permits but will need to talk to the homeowner first. In most instances the department can issue emergency permits over the counter.
The CDD and building officials are available to answer any building questions homeowners may have. Emergency roof repair is the #1 emergency permit issued during the rainy season.
