Leon County Legislative Delegation Meeting Set for Monday

The Leon County Board of County Commissioners will host the Leon County Legislative Delegation for a public hearing on Monday, Feb. 4, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers on the 5th floor of the Leon County Courthouse, 301 S. Monroe St.

This annual hearing provides an opportunity for citizens and local officials to address the Legislative Delegation regarding any state-level issues or concerns they may have. All residents and elected officials are invited to attend.

Residents wishing to address the Legislative Delegation simply need to fill out a speaker's card upon arriving to the meeting.  The delegation will allow elected and appointed officials to be heard from 5 to 6 p.m. and the general public from 6 to 8 p.m. All presenters will be allowed three minutes.

The Leon County Legislative Delegation is comprised of members of the State Senate and House including Senator Bill Montford and Representatives Alan B. Williams, Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda and Halsey Beshears.

The meeting will be webcast on the Leon County website, www.LeonCountyFL.gov .
