Leon County and CONA Accepting Applications for 41st Annual Neighborhood Recognition Program

Leon County Government invites residents to nominate their outstanding neighborhoods and neighbors for the 41st annual Neighborhood Recognition Program. The program celebrates the vibrant neighborhoods and dedicated community leaders that call Leon County home. Awarded annually in partnership with the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA), the program recognizes neighborhoods and neighbors that have gone above and beyond in the last year to help make our community a better place to live, work, and play.

Nominate your neighborhoods and neighbors here.

Applications are accepted in the following categories:

  • Small Neighborhood of the Year – Neighborhoods with 200 homes or fewer
  • Large Neighborhood of the Year – Neighborhoods with more than 200 homes
  • Unincorporated Neighborhood of the Year – Neighborhoods outside city limits (Leon County unincorporated)
  • Neighbor of the Year – Recognizing residents who lend a helping hand in service to their neighbors and neighborhood

The application deadline for the 41st annual Neighborhood Recognition Program is Friday, July 1, 2022, by 5 p.m. EST.

Winners will be recognized during the Leon County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 3 p.m.
