County, City, and Others Invite Community to Florida’s First Family Day

WHERE: Railroad Square, near Railroad Square Craft House, 620 Railroad Sq.

 

Local community leaders will host a press conference on Monday, November 22 at 11 a.m. inviting the community to this year’s Family Day celebration. Family Day will be recognized on Friday, November 26 both communitywide and with a family-friendly event at Railroad Square Art District from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Tallahassee-Leon County is the first community in Florida to recognize Family Day, an annual holiday that celebrates the importance of all families, togetherness, support and love.

 

The press conference will be held at Railroad Square near Railroad Square Craft House, with representatives from Leon County Government, City of Tallahassee, Soul of Southside Festival TLH and Railroad Square Art District.

 

Family Day at Railroad Square was organized by Leon County Government, the City of Tallahassee, Sachs Media, the Council on Culture and Arts (COCA), Soul of Southside Festival TLH, and Railroad Square Art District with support from First Commerce Credit Union, Capital City Bank, Capital Health Plan, and Tallahassee Ford/Lincoln.
