Leon County to Host Free COVID-19 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic

With various healthcare and community partners, Leon County Government will host a free pop-up vaccination clinic this Saturday, April 24 from 8 a.m. to noon at Truth Gatherers Dream Center Church, located at 1317 High Road. The clinic will offer safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) to all eligible adults with no appointment necessary. Vaccines will be administered by healthcare experts from Bond Community Heath Center and Neighborhood Medical Center. In the event of inclement weather, vaccinations will continue onsite in the church.

The clinic is hosted in coordination with the Leon County Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccination Community Education and Engagement Task Force, which works collaboratively to reduce vaccine hesitancy in minority communities and ensure access to vaccination information.

While more events are being planned and announced, the educational outreach coordinated by the Task Force has directly reached more than 5,000 households and led to the vaccination of nearly 500 people at pop-up vaccination clinics.
