Leon County will close the Eastside Library Branch to citizens and staff for pest control on Saturday, April 17 and will reopen on Tuesday, April 20 at 11 a.m. Normally, the library would be closed on Sunday and Monday, so the Saturday closure means library services will be impacted only one day.

During the one-day closure, the library will offer a pop-up site at the nearby J.R. Alford Greenway on Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pop-up library will offer books, digital media and more for all to enjoy. Library staff will bring media carts for citizens to find their new favorite book or check-out a kite to fly along the County's greenway.

During the closure, the County's Eastside Branch Library will be tented and the parking lot will be partially closed. The treatment will be conducted in an environmentally sensitive and responsible manner, leaving the library and all surfaces safe for use.

Citizens can return any due library materials when the library branch reopens on Tuesday, April 21. No late fees will be charged.
