On Wednesday, Dec. 16, through Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, Leon County will host student-athletes from across the state will compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 1A – 8A Football Championships at Florida State University’s Doak Campbell Stadium. The championship is expected to bring nearly 40,000 athletes, coaches and fans into Leon County with an estimated economic impact of over $4 million. The event marks the first time since 2002 that all classifications of the state championships have been held in Tallahassee-Leon County. 

 

Seating for the FHSAA Football State Championships will be general admission. All attendees will be socially distanced and required to undergo a mandatory health screening upon entry.  Attendees must wear a face covering at all times. The deadline to register for media credentials for Class 1A – 4A, is  Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at 5 p.m. and for Class 5A – 8A the deadline is Monday, Dec. 14, at  5 p.m. Media representatives must obtain credentials for the event by completing and submitting the following Credential Request Forms:

Media registration is limited to 40 per game. Walk-up media requests on the day of the event will not be considered. Those on the official FHSAA media credential list must present a valid picture ID to receive credentials at Gate B. All tickets will only be sold online at a presale rate of $15 and $18 if purchased the day of the game. An advanced parking rate of $3 is included in the price of each ticket.
