WHAT:       Booked for Lunch

WHEN:      Thursday, November 21, 12:15 p.m.

WHERE:    LeRoy Collins Leon County Main Library, 200 W. Park Ave.

Leon County’s Booked for Lunch continues with local writer Linda Wright on Thursday, November 21, at 12:15 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, 200 W. Park Ave in the first floor program room.

Bring your lunch and join us for an illuminating hour-long conversation with Wright about her memoir, My Turn: When Caregiving Roles Reverse. In her book, Wright weaves two different parts of her life; the care she received from her parents growing up with a disability and the care she later gave to them when they became elderly and frail. My Turn takes the reader through Wright’s childhood and allows the reader to follow along in the journey from being cared for to caregiving.

Linda Wright is an accomplished author and has contributed to Life Lessons: Writings from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at The Florida State University and Chicken Soup for the Soul: O Canada: 101 Heartwarming and Inspiring Stories by and for Canadians and Persimmon Tree. She is a member of the Tallahassee Writers Association and the Big Bend Poets & Writers.

Sponsored by the Friends of the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library, attendees should bring their own bag lunch. Refreshments will be provided.
