Space Invasion! CosmicCon Comes to the Leon County Library

Join Leon County for the first ever CosmicCon event on Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue.

 

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, fandoms, panel discussions, a cosplay competition for prizes, an escape room, hands-on science with the National MagLab, virtual reality, tabletop gaming, a special themed story time and a appearance from the 501st Legion Stormtroopers from the Star Wars universe.

 

This free all-ages community event will also feature a presentation and Q & A with Mike Maihack, author of the award-winning “Cleopatra in Space” series at 11 a.m. Mike Maihack has produced several published graphic novels, won a Florida Book Award and was a Young Adult Library Services Association Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers.
