In Honor of Former County Commissioner

WHAT:           Dedication of the Anita L. Davis Preserve at Lake Henrietta Park

WHEN:          Wednesday, October 3 at 10 a.m.

WHERE:        Lake Henrietta Park, 3305 Springhill Road

In recognition of Anita L. Davis’ public service and leadership, Leon County invites the community to the dedication of the Anita L. Davis Preserve on Wednesday, October 3 at 10 a.m. at Lake Henrietta Park, 3305 Springhill Road.

Anita L. Davis was elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 1990 and served as the first female African-American Leon County Commissioner. On the Board, Commissioner Davis helped restore Lake Henrietta, as well as led the charge to build new ballparks in Woodville, the Southside library branch, and the health clinic now located on Old Bainbridge Road, just to name a few accomplishments.

Due to limited parking, please park at Church of Christ Springhill Road, 4201 Springhill Road. Shuttle service to the dedication will be provided beginning at 9:15 a.m.
