The Home Expo will provide homeowners with useful skills, resources, and knowledge to create a more sustainable and resilient home. The event will include presentations on a variety of topics like first-time home buyer programs and how to save money by “greening” your home.

Home improvement experts will conduct hands-on demonstrations for home repair basics and Leon County’s Master Gardeners will share best practices for growing fruits and vegetables. Attendees will also get the tools they need to prepare for the next disaster by learning how to Build-A-Bucket of storm supplies. Local real estate and home loan experts will be on hand to provide resources like down payment assistance and home owners insurance.

This year’s Expo will take place at the Leon County UF/IFAS Cooperative Extension building. Attendees will be invited to explore the building’s many sustainability features, which include solar panels, rainwater cisterns and a geothermal unit.
